William Stroud, of VA died in May. He was a 34 year Life Member of OGCA. Bill had an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and served in the Naval Air Reserves. He was an automotive electronic technician. In addition to his technical skills, Bill was a self-taught craftsman working in metal and wood to create beautiful and functional pistols and rifles. His talents were sought out by many gun collectors and his many friends. Bill made some unique firearms over the years, most notable were a Four Bore Double Rifle, a Ten Bore Double Rifle and several Farquharson single-shot, falling-block action rifles that were true to the originals and also very accurate. He could machine or carve almost any gun part one can imagine. All that knew of his work were in awe of his abilities. Bill will be missed by his many friends and family.
