56-year, Gold Life Member, Dale V. Vogel, 85, of Dover, passed away at his home in January. Born in New Philadelphia, he grew up on the family farm and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1958. He worked at Marlite and the W.W. Henry Company before retiring from the YMCA.

Dale and his wife Lynn were blessed with three sons and OGCA was a family affair that included their grandchildren and other family members. Dale exhibited three times at the Annual display show with their help and many family members are now Life members. At right is Dale with his characteristic smile at the 2019 OGCA Annual Display Show with, “A Lifetime Collection Specializing in Savages.” He loved the camaraderie of collecting and seeing friends at OGCA.

Dale was a hunter and trapper and loved that it brings people outside in all different seasons with wildlife and open air. Dale treasured time spent at the family property in Stonecreek, where he shared countless outdoor activities with his sons and their growing families.

Our prayers go out to his family and also to his many friends at OGCA who will remembered him with great fondness.
